Sew Mama Sew Blog is going to gift some great people, who use their crafting talents to help the people in need. So if you know someone who does charity using their talents you may nominate them at the
SMS blog. You may also nominate yourself if you are one of those people!
I would like to nominate; Evelyn Mayfield of,
http://prayersncrafts.blogspot.com/
She is a 70 year old lovely lady, who does some charity (may be in a small way, according to her own ability) for the homeless using her crocheting talents along with some others in her community.
Her creations are beautiful (i have won some
dish cloths from her and i am still preserving them as they are so beautiful!) I have found her to be always sharing; it may be a simple giveaway, a free pattern on the web or some beautiful sites with lots of great crafting information, she is always willing to share!
What inspires me is how she manages to do this along with all the other day to day activities she does whilst being (in her own words) "time - challenged and Funds - challenged"! When there are lots of people who are blessed with funds rarely even think about the less privileged.
And i am impressed by the effort she puts to make sure that they are given to those who are really in need of them and not end up being sold or in the houses of the officers involved!
I believe, the crocheted gloves and the scarves she donates will definitely help the homeless keep warm during the winter season!
